NATIONAL FORENSIC SCIENCES UNIVERSITY GOA CAMPUS

National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU), formerly known as Gujarat Forensic Science University, is a public international university and autonomous institute headquartered in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India. It was established by the Government of Gujarat in 2008 through Act 17 passed in the Gujarat Legislative Assembly on 30 September 2008. The university is solely dedicated to forensic science, investigative science and criminology. In October 2020, it was upgraded to the National Forensic Sciences University and recognized as an Institution of National Importance under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, by an Act of the Indian Parliament. It became an international university in April 2023, following the opening of its first campus outside India, in Uganda, which is also Africa's first Forensic Science University. As of April 2023, NFSU operates 9 campuses across India, including one in Goa, along with a campus in Uganda and involvement in Kazakhstan. The university's expansion reflects its growing role in forensic science education and research both nationally and internationally.
